Local Area Network Play is no longer functioning

For some reason, In spite of Local Area Network Play working flawlessly for well over a decade, the newest version of the game is blocking any attempt to access the feature, and is instead routing all attempts to an unrelated Subscription page that has nothing to do with LAN hosting and services.

This bug is terrible for a multitude of reasons, the least of which will be the harm to the game’s long term playability.

Please get this bug fixed so that me and my loved ones can continue to enjoy the game that we have bought multiple times with our money.
