Picking up water from a water logged ladder doesn’t work

Placing water on a ladder, then picking it up, will visually pick it up, but won’t be in the bucket and the water physics still apply. This shouldn’t happen, the water would be picked up   

Reproduce: 

1. Verticals ladder 

2. Place water on the ladder 

3. Pick up the ladder without looking directly at the ladder → surrounded water is not draining 

4. Breaking or interacting with the ladder with a bucket fixes it
