Item disappearing upon death

Every time I die, I loose my enchanted bow and, or enchanted fishing rod. I’m not sure if it has something to do with both items being max enchanted items but it seems to be those 2 items specifically. This happened very near my base in a flat field with no chance of item despawn or being burnt. This is happened on a realm that is shared between friends.
