Supercharged creepers in dark oak forest

I keep getting rid of supercharged creepers. it's getting annoying?? i get up and go outside my house or return at night and there's 1-3 supercharged creepers outside. I've only had one storm on the second Minecraft day. I'm on day 7 and its repeating daily. idk if it's a bug or not but its thoroughly confusing
