I used to play with others on private worlds, and even on public servers, since at least 1.0.0 it just says it's loading and or connecting for an extremely long time. I decided maybe it would be fixed, so I waited and waited for it to be updated, but it hasn't yet. So I created a real to see if that would be a problem, and it was. It just says loading and loading and doesn't end.

You cannot join servers when you're in beta as the server would probably be running on the not-beta version of the game which is 1.0.9, if you do want to join a server while on beta I'd suggest the lifeboat server because they run the server on the beta version.
I'm not in beta, I just wasn't 100% sure which version it was. I've tried Realms and that doesn't work either.
