bedrock v1.21.81 looms dont work

The pattern selection screen on the left-hand side of the menu when inside the loom is completely blank. It just shows whatever kind of banner you put into the loom when trying to select a pattern and only some of the banner patterns work when having them in your inventory, but not all of them do. Plus you can only get a handful of them in creative, so the basic ones you're supposed to have access to without a pattern paper are no longer an option.
