When "Screen Animation" is enabled, a player cannot open a block or entity's GUI right after they closed a GUI.

Steps to reproduce this issue:

  1. Enabled "Screen Animation".

  2. Place and summon some blocks and entity that player can right click to interact with, like a chest, a crafting table, or some villagers.

  3. Right click one of them to open their GUI.

  4. Press “Ecs“ to close it, then immediately right click this or another block or entity again.

Expected result:

You would be able to immediately interact with that block or entity you right clicked, even if you just closed a GUI and its fading out animation is playing.

Actual result:

  • You didn’t open that block or entity's GUI.

  • So, if you just closed a GUI, the game won’t let you open a blocks or entity’s GUI for like half a second.

  • This also affect player’s inventory and even the pause menu, if you just closed a chest, for the next half a second you can’t open your inventory or even pause the game!

  • It is more obvious If you are using a chest, because after you close it, you can see its closing animation didn’t play at the same time as you close it, and will stay open for a while before it closes.

Note:

I hope the developers could add an option to let the paranoma to spin and the yellow text to move while open/close GUI and switch menu don’t have animations like before 1.21.80

There’s another problem. You can't even walk instantly after closing chests and the player’s inventory. You have to wait like one second because of a delay caused by this bug.

This issue will not be fixed, see MCPE-44288.
