Moving in and out of the simulation distance reverses the speed of magma and water movement in the Overworld.

Observed event

  • With the piston moving in a loop, I move in and out of the simulation distance, hitting the magma against the water flow from above in the way that stones normally form.
Then the magma moves faster and cobblestone is formed instead of stone.
Even if I move the magma one block away from the water flow, a cobblestone still forms, which clearly indicates that the magma is moving faster.

Expected event

  • I don't know what the supposed specifications are, but it's strange that magma should reach the desired point before water in any style.
I'm building a machine that only makes stones, so we need to remove the feature that creates different blocks when the player leaves the device.

A tip on your build: this issue may be caused by having the lava and water on different sides of a chunk border, where one is being updated updated and the other is not. In many technical builds it is necessary to account for chunk borders to have consistent behavior.
