Campfire and custom alpha_test blocks show black background when far away

In the latest Minecraft Bedrock update (1.21.80+), the campfire's smoke or background appears black when viewed from a distance. This same issue also affects custom blocks that use "render_method": "alpha_test", they now display a black background or black squares when rendered far away, especially for textures with transparent parts like flowers, bushes, or leaves.

Previously, these blocks would either fade out or stay invisible in the transparent areas at any distance. Now they appear solid black from a distance, which breaks visual consistency and ruins the look of custom maps or decorations.

What I’ve Tried:

  • Tested on both PC (Windows 11) and iOS.

  • Tried using "format_version": "1.19.80" and "1.21.0".

  • Tested in multiple worlds, including new worlds, the issue still occurs.

Notes:

  • This also affects vanilla blocks like the campfire, not just custom blocks.

  • The issue appeared only after the 1.21.80 update.

  • This breaks existing behavior and creates visual issues in maps with vegetation or transparency effects.

This is not new behavior for campfires, see MCPE-49903. Please attach an add-on that can be used to reproduce the issue.
