Charged Creepers Spawn Constantly When Classic Texture Pack is Active (PS4)
In Minecraft PS4 with the Classic Texture Pack enabled, creepers visually appear as charged creepers (glowing electric aura), but their explosion size and damage remain that of a normal creeper.
This visual-only “fake charged creeper” effect happens consistently at night without thunderstorms or lightning. When the Classic Texture Pack is disabled, creepers appear normally.
This suggests a texture pack or rendering bug that applies the charged creeper overlay incorrectly.
Steps to Reproduce
Launch Minecraft on PS4
Start or load any world in survival mode
Enable the Classic Texture Pack
Wait until nighttime
Observe creeper spawns — all are charged creepers
Disable the pack and reload the world — normal creepers begin spawning
Expected Result
Creepers should spawn in their normal form, unless struck by natural lightning during a thunderstorm (very rare)
Texture packs should not affect game logic or spawn behavior unless explicitly using a behavior pack
Actual Result
All creepers spawn as charged
No thunderstorms or lightning events are visible
Regular creepers never spawn while the texture pack is active
Charged creepers sometimes appear very close to the player

I am currently running Minecraft Bedrock Edition version 1.21.82 on a PlayStation 4 with the latest system software (June 2025).
The charged creeper spawning issue only happens when the official Classic Texture Pack is activated. Without this texture pack, creepers spawn normally.
This behavior has been consistent over multiple game sessions and nights, and no thunderstorms or lightning events were occurring when charged creepers spawned.
Additionally, charged creepers sometimes spawn unusually close to the player, which is unexpected.
Please let me know if any additional information or world files are needed to help reproduce and resolve this issue.
