[MCPE-221565] The villagers' Artificial Intelligence is having trouble detecting the correct passage to follow

'm having problems with one of my villagers. In the following image, there is clearly a passage with the villager's profession table, but for some reason, he is unable to detect the correct passage.

Sorry, it looks like I overlooked a crucial detail after first observing the screenshot (given its poor quality). Are there any stairs by the entrance? I now see that the structute goes down a block after the entrance, so that's why I ask.
