Touch Controls Doesn't let You to swipe the screen behind while holding Action Buttons (Attack and Place)

In previous versions (before beta 1.21.100.20)

In release 1.21.80 the new touch controls allowed players to interact with buttons (Attack or Place) while also being able to swipe the screen behind them. This means a player could tap and hold a button (eg mining and moving camera or bridging) and still move their view (look around) by sliding their finger across the screen without lifting it from the button, allowing smooth combat and Bridging with camera control at the same time.

Current Behavior (in beta 1.21.100.20)

the Attack and Place buttons no longer allow swiping behind them. When holding a button, players cannot move the camera unless you move your finger completely off the button, shown in video examples. This makes gameplay feel stiff and unresponsive, especially during combat or bridging, as you're forced to choose between pressing a button or moving the camera and not both.

Basically,

Buttons are no longer “hoverable” or pass-through for swipe gestures.

Previously, controls allowed simultaneous interaction (button + camera movement).

This change severely impacts the fluidity of touch gameplay.

To recreate:

1. Launch Minecraft Preview 1.21.100.20

2. Use new touch controls.

3. Attempt to hold the Attack or Place button and swipe to look around.

4. Observe that camera does not move unless finger is off the button.

Note: I am unsure of the technical term for this type of interaction, but I think it's “hover + pass-through touch” or “gesture pass through on held Buttons”
