Split screen only allows second player to sign in as guest, wont play game for long before cancelling to Xbox home page

Without any added texture packs , behavior packs and with vibrant visuals off. A local world of mine will no longer allow the second player to sign in with an account they choose. It automatically signs them in as a guest of player one's account. along side that, the game only runs for a few minutes (less than 5) before completely cancelling the game and taking me to the Xbox home screen.
