My Game feels slow and buggy

So after the Chase The Skies update came out, my game has been feeling slow and delayed unlike other versions. Blocks would disappear, when I broke crops and block on mass they would lag like crazy and delayed me from picking up items, and even attacks from mobs were delayed, one bug caused me to fall to my death when a block disappeared while I was building a sky island. If you can fix the lag and bugs in this report I will really appreciate it.
