After getting the update today. I went to see to my pigs in their pen heard strange noise and it had spawned a load of Zombie Pigmen in with my pigs. This is in the overworld on the realm.
Pic attached, it won't let me attach anything, tried in different formats .png and .jpg just says:
JIRA could not attach the file as there was a missing token. Please try attaching the file again.

At least on PC, this can happen if a pig gets struck by lightning. This is extremely rare, but happens sometimes. If lightning hit the middle of your pigpen, a bunch can convert at once. Does this seem like a likely explanation for what happened?

PNG/JPG should both work; "JIRA could not attach the file as there was a missing token" is a bug with JIRA (the bug tracking software) that is still being investigated, but it is generally fixed on refreshing the page.
hi. No there wasn't any storms or lightening. Seems all my normal piggies are still there. Plus loads of Zombie Pigmen as extras!

However, this issue has been closed as Working as Intended.
Pigs are turned into Pigmen if they are struck by lightning (see wiki ref). If you need help or have a suggestion you might like to follow the community support link below.

Can you people even read FFS!! You try to help by reporting bugs and this is what you get....
There was NO lightning strikes. NO storm and NO rain!
I had 8 pigs, I still have 8 pigs but now I also have or had 12 Zombie Pigmen in with my pigs.(I've now killed). My pigs were not converted into pigmen, they are still normal pigs.
The only thing that changed was the update followed by one hell of a lot of LAG.
This is NOT working as intended

We aren't able to investigate issues based purely anecdotal evidence, there simply isn't enough time. Unless reporters provide steps to reliably reproduce the issue (as suggested in the ticket guidelines) we can't take this any further.
If we find a way to reproduce this issue, I'm happy to reopen the ticket.
