Trapdoor-based trident killers don't work anymore

I was trying to use a silverfish XP farm, but I noticed none of the silverfish were dying. I could hear the sound of the tridents hitting, but now, my game is so laggy, and it’s going to be so annoying to have to kill all the silverfish manually. My raid farm is working fine, so it’s only got to do with the trapdoors. This is the one of the single best xp farms in all of minecraft, so it’s quite important that this get fixed.
