Skin resets to Steve when entering a world, sometimes doesn't change back even after selecting a custom skin.

For a while now, every time I enter a world in Minecraft Bedrock, my skin gets automatically changed to the default Steve skin. Usually, I can fix it by going into the menu and manually selecting my custom skin again. However, on one occasion, the Steve skin remained active even after trying to change it. It only worked after several attempts to reapply my custom skin.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

2. Enter any world.

3. Notice that the skin has changed to Steve.

4. Try changing the skin manually.

5. Sometimes the change won't apply right away.

Expected Result:
The selected custom skin should stay active and not reset when entering a world.

Actual Result:
The skin resets to Steve, and sometimes doesn't change back even after selecting a custom skin again.
