When playing Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PlayStation 5 in split-screen mode with two players, the second player’s cursor disappears whenever the first player opens their inventory or interacts with a block (like a crafting table, furnace, or chest). This makes it very hard for the second player to continue interacting with the game.
This issue happens consistently and makes local co-op gameplay frustrating, especially when both players need to use inventory or crafting features frequently.
Steps to reproduce:
Start Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PS5 with two players in split-screen.
Let Player 1 open their inventory or interact with a block (e.g. crafting table).
Observe that Player 2’s cursor disappears and becomes unusable.
Expected result:
Player 2 should still be able to use their cursor even when Player 1 opens a UI screen.
Actual result:
Player 2’s cursor disappears, and they can no longer interact properly.
Version:
Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PlayStation 5 (latest version as of June 2025)
Notes:
This issue has been present for a long time and seems to affect other consoles as well (PS4, Xbox). Fixing this would greatly improve the split-screen experience.
