GUI Scale modifier keeps resetting upon quitting and then starting up the game.

Every time i play Minecraft, the GUI scale modifier keeps resetting by itself to make the GUI really small, so i have to toggle it all the way to the left, then back all the way to the right to make the GUI big again. Please fix so it doesn't keep resetting. Once i change it, it stays changed to my liking.
