Option to use keyboard not working

I have a Bluetooth keyboard to use with my tablet and i try to use it in game for controls and it does not respond. I hit "w" to move forward and my game does not register it, my character stays perfectly still. This also happens when i try to switch button controls, I hit what i want to change then press the button on my keyboard and it will not switch. My touch screen controls work fine. I just wish that this will be fixed soon. I'm more used to keyboard controls than touchscreen ones.
