Copper Golem Drop Issue: if i hand the golem a different color of wool, it searches for a chest with the same color, but never drops it if there is no chest with the exact same color, it just keeps on searching forever. In my case i gave it a light grey wool , though there was a nearby chest with white, black and grey wool , it never dropped it and kept searching for a chest with light grey wool.
Also it just keeps on searching forever if i hand it crafted items
I gave it a iron boot, it kept searching for a chest with iron boot forever, i had to add another iron boot to a chest to make it drop
It only has this issue for some items, other natural spawning materials like cobblestone and dirt blocks

The report you have submitted is working as intended: from the 1.21.100.23 Preview changelog,
It can place an item in a Chest if it's empty, or if it contains the same type of item it is holding in its hand.
Note that the item "type" is the specific item, not a category based on similar names or properties. The behavior allows you to create your own categories by setting up chests with 1 of each item type that you want copper golems to add to the chest. One player may want to have all wools in a chest together, another player may want all red or yellow blocks in a chest together.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
