Delay between inventory closing and moving forward

Hi, I’m assuming this is a pretty niche issue as I haven’t been able to find any information about it online. I only recently discovered this issue as I never had an issue with this before about a month ago, but whenever I open my inventory, a chest, crafting table, or anything with a HUD menu, and then I exit out, there is about a two second delay between me being able to move in any direction using my WASD keys and the game responding to me pressing the key. This issue only happens when I am on full screen, when I play on a minimized tab the game responds fine to my keys, but playing on a minimized tab can get very annoying. If anyone has any information as to why this is happening, it would be much appreciated.
