For Example, if I put five weapons/tools in a copper chest and one sword in a normal chest the Golems will pick up the weapons and check the other chests but not place the stuff in them and just carry the stuff around forever

The copper golem will only sort items from a copper chest and move them into regular chests. It will only place the item into the chest if the chest is EMPTY or if the SAME item type is in there. You have described putting multiple DIFFERENT tools/weapons in the copper chest that are different to the item in the regular chest so the copper golem cannot place the other tools/weapons inside the copper chest.
Many people think the copper golem is like a hopper that can move all items from 1 chest (a copper chest) to another chest. However, the intended behaviour of the copper golem is similar to the allay which can only move 1 type of item into a chest from different chests not by picking up the item.
