Player cannot punch air on mobile devices

Something that's been happening for years in Minecraft Bedrock: on PC and console, the player can punch the air without any problem. On mobile devices, however, it doesn't work at all. It's a very simple fix, but a fix would be greatly appreciated. I hope they fix this bug and add it to an upcoming beta or official version. I hope they fix it :)
