Some texture variations are shown but others are not

VARIATION ISSUE:
Depending on the version of the Minecraft world you play in, some texture variations are shown but others are not (without the missing-texture, so using the default one in blocks folder).
For example, version 101 (currently the latest) does not show variations of "dirt", "coarse_dirt", "stone", "stone_diorite", "red_flowers". If you play in the "Hermicraft season 9" world which is older, the variations are all shown.
