When you place a bundle with items in it in a hopper connected to the side of a furnace, melter, or smoker, the items in the bundle disappear permanently. Thank you for your time.

This has been fixed in 1.21.110.25 Beta/Preview:
Fixed a bug where putting items in a Bundle as it is being transferred from one Hopper to another would delete the item
