After opening the game only joystick and Y button works

Multiple days in a row i’ve tried to play the game and can’t. I open the game when i’m in the menu screen I try to press the play option and nothing happens. I’ve found that the joystick and y button works but not the A button or D pad, making the game unplayable. I’ve tried quiting and reopening the game, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, restarting my xbox, unplugging my accessories from the xbox and then trying the game to no avail
