When a zombie, husk, drowned, or zombie villager is breaking down a wooden or copper door and is interrupted (killed, moved away from the door, etc) before the door is fully broken, the breaking animation still plays. From my observations, after the zombie is removed, the door breaking animation resets and plays the entire animation. When the animation completes, the door is unaffected and returns to normal.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a small room with a single wooden door and put a villager or turtle egg inside
Set the difficulty to Hard and make sure mobgriefing is set to true
Spawn zombies until you spawn one that can break down doors (it’s like a 10% chance I think)
Allow the zombie to start breaking down the door and kill/move it before it fully breaks the door
Observe that the door breaking animation resets and begins playing again after the zombie is gone.
Expected Behavior:
The door breaking animation ceases when the zombie is no longer there.
Observed Behavior:
The door breaking animation continues to play when the zombie is no longer there.
