Performance issue/ Touch response

I play on mobile and i use the new controls. Before the copper age update, the game ran smoothly. When i updated recently, whenever touch the screen to interact with the game, whether it was with my controls or inventory or just to look around, it either didn't respond or it would get stuck.

e.g. when i use my cursor it to move forward, it keeps going forward even when I'm not touching it. when i press the buttons to jump, interact, break/attack, and sneak it doesn't register half the time.

i know this isn't a bug but i would like to not regret updating the game.
