I play on Bedrock Edition on PS5 and yesterday I updated my game to the latest version for the Copper Age Update. However when I click my world, it doesn’t do anything and then 10 seconds later Minecraft crashes and PS5 opens an error report. I have tried updating the system software, checking Minecraft for an update (it says there are no new updates), restarting the game, restarting the system as well as cloning my world and nothing works. I still experience the game freezing and then force-closing. I play on a single player, offline world which is not a realm and I do not have PSN so I do not have cloud backups so I dare not risk uninstalling the game and reinstalling. I tried creating a new world and that works fine, this issue is only affecting my 4+ year survival world.
More info:
World size: 935.1MB (I have plenty of storage on my system)
Last played: 29th September 2025
This issue is being tracked at MCPE-228432. It would be very helpful if you could provide a copy of the world.
On PlayStation, you can follow these steps to copy a world save:
Make sure your BLANK USB stick has been formatted to FAT32
On your PlayStation, go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Copy to USB Storage Device > Select Minecraft > Select Saved World to copy > Copy
This should then copy the world save to the USB, which you can share to a file sharing site such as OneDrive, and then share the link.
