Subsurface scattering property of double trapped chest is left at full (Default Vibrant Visuals)

single chest, double chest, and single trapped chest all have their subsurface scattering property set to 0 (fully transparent MERS)
However, double trapped chest’s MERS is likely unintentionally left at full opacity, giving it full subsurface scattering, which makes it stand out under the sun for example.

All chests, or at least double and single variant of trapped chests are expected to keep consistent subsurface scattering property in their MERS.

You can check the files inside the vanilla templates provided at Mojang’s github repository, as well as in-game without any resource packs enabled to confirm this issue.
