Severe lag and screen freeze on Minecraft 1.21.111.1 (Bedrock, Android) even with low render distance.

After updating to version 1.21.111.1 (Minecraft Bedrock Edition, Android, original purchase), the game becomes very laggy and sometimes freezes. Even when I set the render distance to only 6 chunks and graphics to the lowest settings, the screen is still difficult to move and respond.
