Platform: PlayStation 4
Edition: Minecraft Bedrock
Update: Copper Age Update (latest release)
Description:
Since updating to the Copper Age Update, Minecraft Bedrock on PS4 has become very laggy and unstable. The main problems include:
Severe frame drops and stuttering when exploring or loading new chunks
Inventory and menu screens freezing or taking several seconds to respond
Rubber-banding and delayed block breaking, even in singleplayer
Performance degrading the longer the game is running
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Minecraft Bedrock on PS4 (Copper Age Update).
Create or load any survival world.
Explore new areas or open the inventory.
Notice lag spikes, stuttering, and delayed inputs.
Expected Result:
Smooth gameplay with responsive menus and consistent frame rate, similar to performance before the Copper Age Update.
Actual Result:
Gameplay is frequently interrupted by lag spikes, menus freeze for several seconds, and overall performance is significantly worse than before the update.
Additional Notes:
Render distance above 8 chunks makes the issue much worse.
Restarting the game temporarily improves performance, but lag returns quickly.
The issue occurs in both new and existing worlds.
