Screen freezes and joystick stops responding in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.101 (Android)

After updating to version 1.21.101, the screen frequently freezes when moving the camera or using the joystick. The game stops responding for several seconds and then continues. This happens constantly in survival and creative modes.
