Unable to connect to account on Nintendo Switch

I am having issues completing the connection to both my account and my daughter’s account. The game hangs on the black “connecting…” screen after successfully logging in with another device. The right gamertag shows up, but the black connecting screen continues. I have rebooted the switch and deleted the data and re-downloaded the update, but still have the same issues.
