One day I went to visit a mansion in the woods looking for evokers to get totems of immortality and when I entered I didn't see anything about evokers or Vindicators or much less Vex so I thought it was a mistake and went to a second mansion and the same thing happened to me and from there I moved away and they continued without generating anything other than surface mobs.
