I’ve noticed an issue with Vibrant Visuals in Minecraft Bedrock. This graphics mode uses a temporal filter (TAAU), but it only works when the game is being upscaled internally.
When the game is running at native output resolution (100% scaling, slider fully to the right), the temporal anti-aliasing effect does not apply. Edges appear jagged and shimmer when moving the camera, as TAAU is forced-off.
However, when the render resolution is set below native (so the game is internally upscaling), the temporal filter starts working properly, shimmering is reduced, edges are smoothed, and TAA becomes clearly visible.
Steps to Reproduce:
Enable Vibrant Visuals.
Set resolution to native (100%).
Observe the lack of temporal anti-aliasing, even with TAAU selected.
Lower render resolution (75% slider, or lower).
Observe that temporal anti-aliasing now works correctly while being upscaled.
Expected Result:
Temporal anti-aliasing should work at native resolution, not only when upscaling.
Actual Result:
TAA/temporal filtering only activates when upscaling, and is completely absent at native resolution.
