When starting Minecraft Bedrock on Windows 11 25H2, the game starts using ~10 GB of RAM in the main menu. Without mods or RTX activated, memory usage continues to increase progressively until the available 32 GB is saturated. Upon entering a world, consumption accelerates. This occurs even in new worlds without entities or complex simulations. Another point that I noticed is that when this happens the system uses DirectX 11, there are times that it works well and that is when it uses DirectX 12.

I thought it was my computer so I did a clean install of Minecraft but it stayed the same.

Just open the game and leave it in the background for a while and it already saturates the memory

I have the same issue. I am running Bedrock on Windows 11 24H2 that has 64 GB of RAM. Memory consumption reaches over 95% within 5 minutes of joining my realm. There is a serious memory leak. The movement quickly becomes jerky and the game lags heavily in response to the controller. This version is completely unusable.

The memory leak exists even before joining a world or realm. I launch Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.120 and memory consumption continuously grows. It grows at a slower rate if I don’t join a world or realm, but it will still eventually max out memory on my Windows 11 computer.

I just discovered that the error occurs when I turn on my computer and open the game for the first time in full screen. It starts with D3D11, and when I go to the settings and switch to windowed mode, it switches to D3D12. From then on, the memory is no longer overloaded. In my case, after doing this, it no longer overloads.

And when the game starts in windowed mode, it uses D3D12 even if I later switch to full screen. But when it starts in full screen, it uses D3D11.

I tried restarting my computer and reopening the game, and the same thing happens: when starting in full screen, it overloads the memory. But if I go to the video settings and switch to windowed mode, it's fixed.

After that, it doesn't matter if I go back to full screen. The RAM no longer overloads even if I close and reopen the game.

Another requirement for using RTX is that D3D12 is necessary. If you try to use it with D3D11, the shaders will break, or everything will look black or distorted. You absolutely must use D3D12. To do this, you have to launch the game in windowed mode every time you run it. Then, before closing the game, you have to switch to windowed mode so that when you open it again, it starts in windowed mode. From there, you can switch to full screen if you want, but if you open it in full screen, RTX won't work. I don't know if this also affects the vibrant visuals.

I hope you can fix this because it has several issues.

can you at least point me to the ACTUAL RESOLUTION thread?
