Game switches to DirectX 11 when launched in fullscreen mode with Anti-Aliasing set to 2 or higher and RTSS OSD enabled

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Minecraft Preview

  2. Press the F11 key to put the game in fullscreen mode

  3. Go to Settings > Video and set the Anti-Aliasing slider to 2 or higher

  4. Close the game

  5. Download and install RivaTuner Statistics Server

  6. Open the program (note: the program opens minimized to the system tray)

  7. Under General properties, enable Show On-Screen Display

  8. Reopen Minecraft Preview

  9. Look at the text after [RENDERDRAGON] in the debug header

Observed Results:

The text says D3D11, which means that the game is running on DirectX 11. Another way to verify the game is running on DirectX 11 is to enable Vibrant Visuals or Ray Tracing.

Enabling Vibrant Visuals results in multiple visual bugs, such as everything appearing very bright and block textures all appearing shiny/reflective, while enabling Ray Tracing results in everything except for particles and UI elements appearing pitch black.

Expected Results:

The text should say D3D12 (or D3D12+ on ray tracing capable GPUs).

How to fix this problem? I try every thing

Launch the game in windowed mode, set the Anti-Aliasing to 1 and restart the game, or disable the RTSS OSD and restart the game.

I play bedrock do you have any fix for that?

This is for Bedrock. There are three ways to prevent the issue from occurring:

Launch Bedrock in windowed mode

  1. Press the F11 key to switch to windowed mode. The taskbar should be visible if it’s in windowed mode

  2. Close Bedrock and relaunch it

Set Anti-Aliasing to 1

  1. Go to Settings > Video

  2. Click on the Fancy Graphics Options button

  3. Set the Anti-Aliasing slider to 1

  4. Close Bedrock and relaunch it

Close the RivaTuner Statistics Server program completely

  1. Click on the ^ on the taskbar to bring up the system tray

  2. Right-click on the RivaTuner Statistics Server icon and click on Close

  3. Close Bedrock and relaunch it

Please confirm whether the issue still occurs after trying all of these workarounds.

Ok, I can try this tomorrow. Just to be clear. I have black screen when Raytracing turns on. If or the texture are not loaded. With Raytracing out of the picture. Dis this a fix for the RTX?

Do you know they fix this bug in a future update?

I do not know when or if this bug will be fixed.

And the torche problem any fix?

I’m not sure which torch problem you’re referring to, but you should create a separate report for it.

I tried method 2, and it resolved the issue for me. I do not have RivaTuner installed; that seems to be another cause of the issue.
