Japanese IME input in Minecraft Bedrock (Windows) chat is forced into unconverted half-width alphabet

In Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Windows, when using a Japanese IME to type in the chat, all input is immediately confirmed as unconverted half-width alphabet characters (e.g., "konnnichiha") instead of allowing conversion to hiragana or kanji.
Typing in English works fine, but Japanese input cannot be converted — the IME candidate window does not appear, and the raw alphabet is confirmed directly.
It seems that IME conversion is not properly supported in the Windows chat interface.
This makes communication difficult for Japanese-speaking players, and we kindly request a fix.
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Windows

  2. Enter a world and open the chat window

  3. Use a Japanese IME to type "こんにちは"

  4. Input is confirmed as raw alphabet (e.g., "konnnichiha") without conversion
