Players cannot type or move when using an IME

In 1.21.120, players cannot type language that require an input method. For example, Chinese or Japanese.

It is caused by using the GDK runway from September 3, 2025. It will affect the normal chat of both Chinese and Japanese players.

It is a very serious problem! Can this be fixed as soon as possible like the JAVA Edition?

Because it is too urgent, there are no attachments.

There's already been a big uproar in the Japanese community.
The problem is that Japanese people have no habit of checking Mojang's bug tracker or voting, making it difficult for Mojang to recognize the problem. As a result, the problem is far more serious than the actual number of votes suggests.
We hope that Mojang will recognize and fix this issue as soon as possible.

As a Japanese player, I’m strongly affected by this issue. The inability to input Japanese using an IME has made in-game communication very difficult, and it’s causing problems when participating in multiplayer sessions or events.

This input issue is currently causing trouble for many Japanese-speaking players.

I understand that this problem may already be recognized, but I sincerely hope it will be addressed as soon as possible from the perspective of Japanese users.

This issue is already being discussed among Japanese players on social media and Discord. It’s causing serious trouble with Japanese input, and many users are affected. Please fix it as soon as possible.

Do not worry! The bug has been fixed in the latest Preview version of 1.21.130.25, and now players can enter Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other languages that require IME normally.
