Texture packs not from the Minecraft Marketplace no longer work after the update

A texture pack that I installed and has the file extension .mcpack no longer works despite working fine for the past couple months or so. The texture packs are still in my resource packs folder, but I can no longer import any new ones as when I open them like I normally do nothing happens, not even an error message, and all the texture packs I already had loaded are gone. The faithful in global resources and the faithful in the folder are different packs.
