After starting the game, no window appears. The game process is visible in Task Manager but remains idle. Waiting for hours does not resolve the issue.
Steps to Reproduce:
Install Minecraft using
Add-AppxPackage .\MICROSOFT.MINECRAFTUWP_1.21.12004.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixvcbecause the Microsoft Store freezes when attempting installation.Launch the game from the Start menu or executable.
Observe that no game window appears, though the process runs in Task Manager.
Expected Behavior:
The Minecraft window should open and the game should start normally.
Actual Behavior:
The process runs in the background without opening any window.
Additional Notes:
The Microsoft Store freezes when attempting to install Minecraft normally.
The manual installation using Add-AppxPackage succeeds without error.
The issue persists even after waiting for several hours.

You’re trying to install a UWP version of Minecraft 1.21.120. Starting with version 1.21.120, Minecraft no longer uses UWP — it now runs on GDK instead.
Yes I know. However, the file is for this release is still called like that.
It worked with the exact same file & command on my Windows 11 VM but not on the Windows 10 PC itself.

When you download the msixvc link from XBOX themselves, they give you a file called MICROSOFT.MINECRAFTUWP_1.21.12004.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixvc. So this comment of yours has no relevance in this bug report.

Hey,
The file I got is directly from Xbox.
It’s basically the same installation procedure as the store uses when installing Minecraft.
Please note that I have to do it this way since the MS Store somehow doesn’t work for me as said previously.
