After performing a Windows system restore, my Minecraft bedrock is completely corrupted.
Reinstalling it doesn't help, I just get the following error:
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Add a system restore point
Update Minecraft
Revert Minecraft to a pre-update system restore point
Minecraft crashes completely with "Unsupported 16-bit application"
Expected result: Missing system components should be installed automatically
Actual result: Minecraft bedrock won't start
Personally, I'd like to know how to fix this
To fix this it looks like you need to do the following:
Update and repair your game
If the game has installed, but you still can’t launch it, try the following steps:
Open the Xbox app for Windows.
In My Library, select the game title.
Select the More options (…) button, and then select Manage > Files > Check for updates.
If updating doesn’t resolve your issue, select Verify and repair to repair your game. Then try to launch it again.
