Minecraft not responding to keyboard inputs

Since Minecraft bedrock got moved from UWP to GDK I have been unable to type numbers and letters in Minecraft Bedrock. Looked it up tried all the suggested solutions, disabling overlay apps, updating drivers, re-installing drivers, etc etc. Also a million other bugs, for example my character briefly moving back a few meters before moving forward, when using controller obviously as my keyboard simply doesn’t work with the game since GDK. A million new performance issues, pretty much destroyed bedrock edition but my main issue is the keyboard issue as now I can’t input seeds, can’t name worlds etc. Thanks.
