Crosshair disappearing in split screen

When playing in split screen on my Nintendo Switch, the crosshair consistently disappears on every players' screen when at least one player enters their inventory or some other menus. This is likely happening because the crosshair is supposed to disappear when you are in your inventory, but only on your own section of the screen, not on the sections of the other players.
