When playing on my Xbox One controller, attempting to type with a real keyboard into the chat will open a virtual keyboard and prevent me from typing into the chat with my real keyboard. I believe it is the touch keyboard that appears on screen (shown in image). All real keyboard buttons will either briefly flash the touch keyboard on screen or do nothing. The only way to type into the chat box is to click it with my mouse first. I can also fix this issue by tabbing out of the game and going back to it without using any controller inputs.
Iโve tried disabling all the Windows settings relating to the touch keyboard, but it doesnโt fix the issue. I am on a desktop PC with no touch screen attached, so this touch keyboard is basically useless. The touch keyboard does work with my controller inputs, but I have any intention of typing using my controller.
I donโt know how long this has been an issue because I havenโt played since Chase The Skies was released. Last time I played, I could seamlessly transition between playing on my controller and typing in the chat with my keyboard. Now I have to grab my mouse first to click the chatbox. This is especially annoying when typing up commands.
