Still can't join friends' worlds

I cannot join friends' worlds, still.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Log in to your microsoft account.

2. Press “Play” and find a friend’s world to join.

Expected result:

A box titled “Connecting to multiplayer services” appears with the text “Locating server” inside, above a set of animated bars. Eventually it will say “Loading Resources” and I would’ve joined.

Actual result:

The same titled box appears, but without the text and just the animated bars. It will never load, and eventually you would time out. Pressing the “cancel” button will make the game assume you were kicked from the world (despite never actually making it far enough to join the world), and you cannot rejoin the world until you head back to the title screen and try again.

No-one else I know is having this problem, but I am the only person on Windows out of them. Please fix this soon, it is so frustrating to not be able to play Minecraft with anybody.
