Re testing again looks like the bug comes from resource packs modifying crossbow textures, which still is an issue because the resource pack is formed correctly following the guide found on the wiki. Will try finding the cause.

I have done a bit of testing and I think the cause of this problem is EVGA Percision X1 if any of ya'll have it just uninstall it and use msi afterburner or smthn.

Edit: I was wrong.

I had task manager open while I was trying to actually play the game and the second it hits 100% CPU this happens so the cause might be overstressing the CPU 

The game might be doing this to avoid crashes

When the bottom part of the small dripleaf is broken, the upper part remains suspended in the air. The opposite happens as well.
