Crosshair disappears in local multiplayer

Been playing local multiplayer since covid with my partner, I've seen quite a few bugs with it and none were very bothersome but this has become very bothersome. Whenever the creator of the world opens their inventory or a chest my crosshair disappears completely and it makes building hard, placing blocks hard, and it gives nothing to track and makes me motion sick because of that. It only does it to player 2, when player 1 opens a chest or inventory. I have to put the game down and look away if he is opening chests and inventory too frequently because it just makes me feel ill.
